The String Ensemble consists of both violin and cello members. They come from among the primary two to primary six pupils. We have two violin instructors, Mr Andrew Ng and Ms Irene Eng, who are accomplished violinists. They have been involved in many music training sessions, events and activities.  They have contributed their expertise and imparted musical knowledge to our pupils, while helping them have a greater interest and appreciation of music and the arts.   
    

Every member attends one practice every week on Wednesdays or Fridays. They are grouped according to their grades. The members practiced to qualify for the SYF, Singapore Youth Festival, and have achieved Silver for the 2010 SYF. Members also have opportunities to perform for school events and the public. The instructors also trained the violin members to take the ABRSM Violin Examinations. We start recruiting members from the primary one ranks in term two.
