Programmes for School-Based Excellence (Dance) Minimize

Learning Outcomes

* It is part of the school’s ACE Framework

* A structured dance programme that allows pupils to encounter dance at different levels
* dAnCE@MFPS ensures all pupils are given at least a basic dance education and opportunities to develop
   their identified talent

* It aims to establish dance as a school culture

                    



Department Programmes

P5 and P6 Hip Hop Dance Enrichment
All P5 and P6 pupils will attend a 10-week lesson to learn the Basic and Advanced Hip Hop respectively. P5 pupils will be using their music arranged  from their Acid Express Enrichment to formulate their own dance.

                                              

 

Cultural Exchange Programme to Beijing, China

20 pupils from the Chinese Dance, Malay Dance and Indian Dance CCA groups were identified for this trip. They learnt the Chinese traditional Yang Ge dance from the teachers and pupils at Fengtai Cuiling Dancing School. Our Malay Dance pupils taught the China pupils the basic steps of their dance.

                                                         

 

Teacher Work Attachment

One Chinese language teacher and one Music teacher went for overseas teacher work attachment during the June holidays. They were attached to Fengtai Cuiling Dancing School, Yuying Primary School and Zongde Primary School.

                               

Action Research

A group of specialised teachers have come together to explore our pupils’ experiences with dance and how dance can mould them to be a better learner.
