Educational Gymnastics
Gymnastics is essential to the development of physical and motor ability components in young children. It contributes to muscular endurance, strength, power, flexibility, co-ordination, agility and balance. Through gymnastics, pupils learn about themselves and develop creativity through good body control.
We introduce gymnastics to the Primary 1 pupils in a fun and interactive way to help our pupils build self-esteem, self-confidence, social skills, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and rhythmic creativity. The lessons focus on good body alignment, general body control and awareness, and simple gymnastic skills. Examples would include jumping and landing safely and performing a variety of rolls.
The abilities enhanced by participation in the gymnastics programme are fundamental to movement in general, and help to prepare our pupils for many physical pursuits in future.

Swimming Programme
The school believes that learning to swim is an important part of every child’s education and is essential for a child’s well-being. Swimming is a great activity for recreation that can be enjoyed by all ages.
To ensure maximum participation in the swimming programme, the school has scheduled swimming to be taught at the Primary Two level during curriculum time. Our objective is to help each and every child learn the basic swimming and water safety skills that will serve them throughout their lifetime.
The swimming lessons take place once a week for an hour. The pupils are grouped and instructed according to their level of proficiency so that all of them benefit from the programme.

Outdoor Education
Adventure Camp
The school organises an annual residential camp for Primary 5 pupils at the various MOE adventure centres. During the camp, pupils will be taught basic camp craft. They will participate in activities such as rock-climbing, challenge rope courses and kayaking. The objectives of the camp are :
a) To allow pupils to develop the qualities of teamwork and cooperation by interacting and working with their peers;
b) To experience adventure learning through challenging outdoor activities where they will build self-confidence and develop their character.

The school also organises overseas expeditions to challenge our pupils and provide opportunities for them to demonstrate skill, judgment, confidence and sensitivity in a wide range of environmentally responsible activities in outdoor settings. The school has organized expeditions to Mount Ophir and Mount Kinabalu for our Primary 5 and Primary 6 pupils. In 2010, 30 pupils, led by 5 teachers, went to explore caves in Pahang.
