Malay Dance
Malay Dance
The Malay Dance CCA provides a spectrum of experiences allowing our students to explore different rhythms and movements of Malay Dance. Students will have the opportunity to learn the 5 basic types of Malay Dance such as Asli, Inang, Zapin, Masri and Joget. With their talents and creativity, students are also able to form their own choreography during dance practice sessions. This allows students to be more confident, empowered and increase their self-esteem when they are able to apply what they have learned during the practice sessions. Students will also bond and make friends as they work as a team. Students will have the opportunity to shine through external performances such as Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) which is a biennial Singaporean event to showcase student's talents in performing arts in the country and other public performances. Students will also be able to perform in school events such as National Day Concerts, Awards Presentations Partners Appreciation event and other celebrations. Through these experiences, students will be able to highlight their passion and talents as they have fun during the CCA sessions.
